I have a non-fiction book I am re-writing and need a development concept for rescripting it – I wrote with no guidelines just in conversational narrative – this resulted in a poorer book than it could have been. Any ideas?

In my view, I have three protagonists or antagonists depending on POV. The first brother, who gets the woman and has his children (except for the first), conflicts with all three of them (plus the other children minorly). The saga ends with the oldest son, who also has a tragic end with the wife/mother clinking to life. A true story. Do you have any thoughts on how I should handle this in my self-development edit?

(After this sentence, nothing followed that related to it. I think a chunk might be missing: ‘Here’s Tolkien’s The Hobbit meeting the Story Arc:’

My story needs a developmental edit. Unfortunately, this realization comes after many a copy edit. Now I have a road map for getting it done. Better late than never. Thank you.
